Many of us will be familiar with the painful experience of treading on a rogue piece of Lego. You're walking along, minding your own business, when suddenly the unmistakable feeling of sharp plastic underfoot ruins your stroll!

Well, imagine this joy x 1000...

On Sunday 24th September 2023, The Yard will hold its first-ever Brave the Bricks walk, challenging families to cross a walkway of around 6.5ft, filled with thousands of the pesky blocks!

Preparing for the event with her 13-year-old daughter Serena, The Yard CEO Celine Sinclair commented, “Most parents will know the pain of treading on Lego, especially barefoot, so we’re urging people to Brave the Bricks, find their own superhero and embrace their inner child! By doing so, they can help raise much-needed funds for The Yard, which is a lifeline of vital support for so many local families, providing a safe and welcoming space for their child to play.”

Fundraisers are asked to commit to a fundraising target of £80, including a £10 registration fee to secure their place. All money raised will go towards the continued running of The Yard and our services.

So there's no need to be 'bricking it'...just 'Lego' of your fears - find out more and register now on our Brave the Bricks event page.
