The Yard has been both life-saving and life-changing - we feel like we belong here. I will never forget what The Yard meant to me when Lauren was younger, and what it still means to me today.

It's hard not to smile when you think about play

Whether you have memories of playing on the streets in your local community, building a new den with your friends or creating an artistic masterpiece with your family, our memories of play make us smile.

At The Yard, we provide play, fun and friendship for over 2,200 disabled children, young people and their families. Our different play services are child-led and allow children and young people to explore, use their imagination and creativity whilst giving parents, carers and siblings a non-judgemental space to relax and build a community of support.

As a charity, our work relies on charitable donations – whether we are introducing a new family to our play services for the first time, building a den with a group of children who have become friends, or making a cup of tea for a parent who is feeling isolated - our support would not be possible without you.

By writing a will, you can ensure the things you value most continue to be cared for after you are gone. Once you have looked after those closest to you, please consider remembering The Yard in your will.

How to leave a gift in your will

We have partnered with Jones Whyte who are providing free will writing. Read more about this partnership and how to receive their support with your will

Thank you for making a difference for our families now, and in the future.
