Our locations Edinburgh The Yard Edinburgh The Yard runs adventure play services for disabled children, young people and their families. You can reach The Yard team during office hours by calling us on 0131 476 4506. Opening times The Yard is open Monday - Saturday with an array of sessions to choose from. We run our Early Years session every Friday 10-12, to book you early years session please contact [email protected]. Family sessions are held on Friday 1-4pm. Saturday sessions are - Quiet Session (9:30am - 11:30am) (maximum 20 members) We ask families to register your interest in this session with [email protected] before you attend for the first time. Family Session One (12:00pm - 2:00pm) Family Session Two (2:30pm - 4:30pm) First visit? In order to arrange your first free taster visit before you become a member, please email [email protected] and include the location you wish to visit. You do not need a referral, diagnosis or medical evidence to access The Yard. We also run early years sessions, schools sessions and respite youth clubs, by advance booking only (not drop-in). Membership After your free taster session, if you would like to keep visiting The Yard, we ask you to become a member, either with a visiting membership or regular monthly payment. Driving directions The City of Edinburgh Council has removed the right turn option for southbound traffic on the B901 into Eyre Place (coming up the hill from Canonmills). You can still turn into Eyre Place heading north (down the hill). If you are travelling up the hill, you can continue and go right round the roundabout at Mansfield Traquair, then come back down. This is part of the Spaces for People project delivered by Sustrans on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council. Parking There is a drop-off area and disabled parking in front of our building, as well as a small car park for our visitors. We cannot guarantee space but please do not park on Eyre Place Lane - it must be kept clear for emergency vehicle access at all times. There is ample parking nearby and on surrounding streets.
