The Yard is a purpose built indoor and outdoor adventure playground for children and young people with disabilities.
The Yard is a safe environment where children and young people can experience play without feeling different. We run family, school and club sessions in the heart of Edinburgh.

What's onFull timetable
Over the summer holidays (Monday 29 June to Saturday 15 August) our family sessions run on: Mon 10am to 2.45pm, Tues to Friday 10am to 4pm, Sat 12noon to 5pm
Regular open play sessions
Fridays 13.00 - 16.00 (term time only)
Saturdays 12noon - 17.00 (year round)

Marketing and Communications Intern
Location Edinburgh, 20 hours per week, 6 month temporary position
We are looking to recruit a part-time intern to help deliver our marketing and communications plan effectively over the next 6 months which will be a particularly busy period for The Yard.
If you enjoy writing engaging content, have a passion for social media and thrive in a busy office environment then we’d love to hear from you.

Vacancies for Playworkers in Fife and Dundee
From the Autumn we will be expanding our play service into Fife and Dundee and we are looking for 4 x p/t playworkers to operate a weekend adventure play service for children and young people with disabilities in both these new areas (2 x p/t playworkers in Fife, 2 x p/t playworkers in Dundee).
If you are someone who understands the value of play, is creative, committed, a real team player and has experience of working with children and young people with disabilities then we’d like to hear from you.
Closing date is 5pm on Monday 20 July with interviews being held in Edinburgh week commencing 27 July. Approximate start date mid-September 2015 with training and induction to be held in Edinburgh.
