We are currently recruiting for a playworker in Edinburgh. If you are someone who understands the value of play, is creative, a real team player, and has experience of working with disabled children and young people, then we would like to hear from you. We need a part-time playworker to deliver sessions at our flagship premises in Edinburgh. The contract is for a maximum of 19 hours as part of a set rota to include weekends. There is some flexibility available for the right candidate. Playworkers contribute to the planning and delivery of sessions. They deliver a range of inclusive social, recreational and adventure play activities at The Yard, including a range of activities such as arts and crafts, loose parts play, den-building, etc. We are looking for someone who can initiate and support opportunities for disabled children and young people that are innovative and engaging, and truly led by their interests and needs.
