"I have chosen to do the virtual Kiltwalk for The Yard, as it is close to my heart and means so much to my family. In 2016 my oldest son was diagnosed with autism, when it was confirmed that he had autism, it hit me hard. I isolated myself, and The Yard supported me, they still do with many things. I want to give something back for all the great things The Yard do to support my family and other families."

Scotland’s Kiltwalk 2022 - Dates TBC

After a successful in-person Kiltwalk in Glasgow in September 2021, The Kiltwalk events are scheduled to be held in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen once again in 2022. Dates for each event and details are yet to be confirmed but you can register your interest for a FREE place now and walk for The Yard when the registration goes live.

Kiltwalk events provide a challenge and a fantastic day out for individuals, families, groups of friends or corporate teams. Join our team now to help us raise vital funds for our work with children and young people with disabilities. Everything you raise will receive a 50% top up from The Hunter Foundation!

There are three distance options to choose from:

  • The Mighty Stride (26 miles)
  • The Big Stroll (14 miles)
  • The Wee Wander (3.5 miles)

You can find more information on past Kiltwalks and updates on 2022 when they're confirmed on the Kiltwalk event page.

Ready to sign up and get going?

There are two ways you can sign up; securing your own place or applying for a free entry code (minimum sponsorship required).

Book your place

When the events are confirmed, you can secure your own place on the Kiltwalk website and choose The Yard as your charity. You set your own sponsorship target, and we are on hand to provide fundraising support and send out your The Yard yellow t-shirt.

Apply for a free place

Once again, we will have a limited number of codes that give you free entry to the virtual event. All you have to do is click 'Enquire' below and commit to raising the minimum in sponsorship to support The Yard's services. By applying for a free place, you agree to raise a minimum of £50. You can enquire for this now and we will be in touch when registration opens.

Our fundraising team will be on hand to offer you individual fundraising and training advice. We will also send you one of our yellow The Yard T-shirts and you can download our supporter pack for more information about being part of our team.
