You can be a part of our next big adventure by applying to join our Board of Trustees. This is a very exciting time to get involved at The Yard as we build for the future. You can really make a difference at this crucial time in our development as we prepare to build a brand new The Yard Dundee. We need all kinds of people with lots of different skills. Could you be our next Trustee?

We are currently recruiting for five Trustee roles:

• Vice Chair and Trustee
  This is part of our succession planning for our current Chair, who has been in role since 2014. It is anticipated that the Vice Chair would be a candidate available to take on the role of Chair during 2019/20.
• Four other Trustee roles

We have carried out a skills analysis of our current Board and identified the following areas where we would like to focus our recruitment for the four Trustee roles:

• Project management/design and build/construction experience
  (We anticipate that the new Trustee with this skillset would also chair the Dundee Building Project Planning Committee).
• Third sector senior management experience
• Digital experience
• Entrepreneurial skills
• Public affairs/government policy
• Communications/PR

As part of this year's Trustees' Week, we are hosting an insight and information evening for anyone who is interested in becoming a Trustee at The Yard. This event is at The Yard Edinburgh on Wednesday 14 November 2018 from 5.30pm. Don't worry if you are interested but can't make - we would still love to hear from you.
